Niğde is an administrative unit located in the southeast of Turkey's Central Anatolia Region and in the Cappadocia region, with the city of Niğde as its centre. The population of Niğde province, whose altitude is 1,229 m, is 363,725 as of 2022.
Neighboring the provinces of Aksaray, Nevşehir, Kayseri and Konya, Niğde is separated from the province of Mersin by the Bolkar Mountains in the south, and from the province of Adana by the natural borders formed by the Aladağlar Mountains in the southeast and east. Çamardı and Ulukışla districts of the province, which is generally in the Central Anatolia Region, are located in the Mediterranean xRegion.
There are thermal resources, ruins, historical texture, natural beauties, mountain and winter tourism opportunities that make the city a tourism center. Aladağlar and Ketençimen Plateau are regions for winter tourism.
